Barcelona: Possible correction on the amount of saffron???

I made the Spanish inspired pizza sauce today for the Barcelona (pg. 237). The sauce recipe calls for 1/8 teaspoon / 0.6 grams of saffron. The saffron is purchased in threads and 0.6 grams is WAY more than can fit in a 1/8 teaspoon. I was hoping Tony or Raj could confirm the correct amount of saffron.

P.S. I’ll be posting pics of the Barcelona pizza tomorrow!

I wish that I had the answer to your question, but I do not. I have realized in my previous experiences with recipes, many authors use weight measurement when a spice is not ground and a volume "spoon" measurement when it is ground. Many authors even use entirely natural measurement. For instance, a sprig of thyme is the equivalent of 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme or 1/3 to 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme. If a recipe calls for a 3 sprigs of thyme, then it needs around 3 to 4 teaspoon of fresh thyme or 3/4 to 1 teaspoon of dried thyme. I would use the gram weight for this one, since it is not ground.
