Olli Pepperoni and Napoli Salami

I had been using Kroger's private label pepperoni. It tastes good for a normal pepperoni. I decided yesterday to try a higher quality pepperoni and salami. Olli is vegetarian fed, antibiotic and hormone free pork. It even has natural preservatives. At $10 per 6 oz., Olli pepperoni and Napoli salami is pricey in comparison to the private label. Pricey until you taste the undeniable quality. The product packing says it is a 4th generation family recipe. From the quality of the taste it is believable that it is a 4th generation recipe. I baked a pizza the other day, cleaned up and put the leftovers in refrigerator. My house still smelled like pepperoni and salami when I came home from work the next day. My guess is that more of the natural fat and oil is preserved in the old-world way of making the pepperoni and salami. People say seeing is believing, but I think tasting is believing. I am excited about tasting the pepperonis mentioned in the Pizza Bible.

Hi folks!

I was using Hormel, which is very good pepperoni, IMHO.

Then I came across Parma Sausage when we were in Pittsburgh, PA.
Tried their pepperoni and it was really good. It is also available mail order from www.paramasausage.com
