Pizza Bible Beliver - First Sicilan

I really just wanted to leave this for anyone who was in the fence about ordering or reading the book. I don't work for them and I very rarely leave reviews. If anyone had any doubts I just wanted to say that everything about the pizza-bible experience has been simply amazing. If you have not read the book and you are interested in making pizza then stop reading now and buy!!

I made a Sicilian (first time) without the starter last weekend and I have to say that if the one with the starter is better tasting than the one I made then I will never need to go out for pizza again!

I also have to say thanks to Raj and the store for helping me out with a shipping snafu and making everything whole with the order. Will definitely be ordering again from them. Keep up the great work

Congrats on your first Sicilian! It looks amazing! I agree about the book. I am a cookbook freak! I collect and read cookbooks and am very careful to review books before I buy. Tony's book is simply amazing and the recipes very successfully transfer to the home kitchen. What I like about it is that it's just not a collection of recipes but also provides a very solid foundation for pizza making. I very rarely order pizza out anymore because the recipes are so much better than you would get at most pizza places. I am so excited for you was you begin your adventures in pizza making and encourage you to try it next time with the starter and a 48 hour cold ferment!

I agree, I love to cook and this book blew me away with it's level of detail yet also ease of use for a home oven and a home cook. I love the straightforward and well described steps. When I read the first chapter I was stunned to see that we were going to take a class and specific pointers about the ingredients. My cup of tea! (Slice of pizza?) My boyfriend and I are making our first pizza tonight after working the dough the past few days. He loves making pizza for me but we always bought the dough which was hit or miss. This is taking our pizza to a whole new level. Thank you Tony and thank you Raj for answering questions on this blog and helping me with ideas for sauce and pan sourcing! I really commend Tony for putting together a very approachable and fun book and if you are reading this blog and have not bought the book - BUY THE BOOK! It's awesome!
