Pizza pans

Does anyone have any experience with Chicago Metallic products?

I am looking at a pizza pan and I have access to a limited supply of brands without paying an arm and a leg.

Can anyone better describe what i should be looking for?

Hi Gil,

I own a 14" Chicago Metallic nonstick deep dish pan. Overall, it's a decent pan. Especially for the price point. The reviews on Amazon are great. I've only used mine a few times. That said, I'm in the market for one of the Allied Metal pans because they're much heavier and supposed to cook more evenly.

Is there a specific model that you're interested in?

The middle link in your list is the exact one I have. FWIW, almost every Chicago style place I know of uses heavy-gauge aluminum pans that aren't coated. As they get seasoned, they turn almost black.

I suspect the Chicago Metallic non-stick is good for home use, but won't hold up to too much wear and tear. The coating will definitely get damaged when you use metal utensils like grippers and spatulas.
