Soupy Mess


I’ve made a few pizzas from scratch now using whatever recipes I could find online, but I recently found this book and decided to give it a try. I tried to use the recipe on page 48 using the instructions as written, but as my dough took shape it seemed to just be soup at the initial rise step. It had the consistency of cake batter, and it took adding a lot of flour as I kneaded the dough to make it close to manageable. Any suggestions?
